Tiffany A. Moore Simas, MD, MPH, MEd, FACOG
Lead Obstetric Liaison
Dr.
Moore Simas is an obstetrician-gynecologist (Ob/Gyn) and
physician-scientist, who aims to improve the health of parent-child
dyads and their families by using adult education and public health
principles that inform patient, provider, practice, health system, and
population-level initiatives, especially those integrating obstetrics
and mental health care. Dr. Moore Simas is the Ob/Gyn Department Chair,
and Professor of Ob/Gyn, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Population &
Quantitative Health Sciences at the UMass Chan Medical School. She is
the founding Obstetric Engagement Liaison of MCPAP for Moms and Medical
Director of Lifeline for Moms. She has a federally funded research
portfolio and serves her profession nationally through SASGOG’s Board
of Directors, the Council on Patient Safety’s Maternal Mental Health
Safety Bundle, ACOG’s Maternal Mental Health Expert Work Group
(Co-Chair), and AIM’s Postpartum Discharge Transitions Safety Bundle,
among others. Her academic achievements have led to over 100 peer
reviewed publications. Dr. Moore Simas’ passion is her family – she
became a parent through biology, fostering, and adoption; this informs
her approach to caring for mothers, parents, children, and families.

Nicole Alexandria Smith, M.D., M.P.H.
Obstetric Liaison
Nicole
Smith is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with a focus on
optimizing maternal health during pregnancy for the benefit of mothers,
babies, and their families. She earned her medical and masters in
public health degrees from Tufts Medical School, and completed training
in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center and the
Harvard Integrated Residency in Ob/Gyn at Brigham and Women's Hospital
and Massachusetts General Hospital. She then went on to fellowship
training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Brigham and Women's
Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr Smith is an Assistant Professor at
Harvard Medical School and specialist in perinatology at Brigham and
Women's Hospital. She is the author of many peer-reviewed publications,
and the Co-Director of the Women'sWellness Program in the Division of
Maternal Fetal Medicine.
